Now I have reached the end of my 30 days challenge of “saying no to stuff”, I don’t intend to go on wild shopping sprees, but there are a couple of things which i do need and have been putting off purchasing. One being new shoes for Intrepid Bebe, as she is no only fitting into the Wellies and Snow Boots! The other is some sort of Waterproof jacket for myself!
This adorable yellow rain boat is from Jo Jo Mama Bebe, it’s been so useful, and has lasted for ages (as you can see the sleeves were really rolled up here!). I have long coveted a matching one (I am a shameless fan of twinning with my Daughter), and after getting DRENCHED today, after realising none of my coats are waterproof, I decided I really do need to invest in a Raincoat. So here are a few options I am looking at, in case you need some inspiration for fending off the ‘Spring Showers’ (which sounds far nicer than just rain).
Swedish brand Stutterheim was recommended to me by the Barista at our local Coffee Shop. it was a great tip as these are some super stylish raincoats, which leave the image of “geeky anorak” well behind! And if you have an incredibly cool kid, they do have adorable (and expensive!) little people coats.
Tescos have a selection of lovely looking, and very affordable raincoats. Although they describe themselves as ‘shower proof’ which often refers to light rains rather than the DOWNPOURS I anticipate!
The Le Petite Bateau is the classic raincoat, and I think its’ gorgeous, but I don’t feel like I can justify over 132 pounds for a rain coat…I do think it’s lovely though!
This Joules ‘coast’ jacket is so pretty, and it is described as fully waterproof. And this ‘go lightly’ doggy print jacket packs away so would be handy for when you’re caught out in bad weather!
Raine The German brand make gorgeous rain jackets for men and Women. I love that they come in two lengths and a wide range of colours. They start at about sixty pounds each. I think they might be my pick of the bunch.
