As I mentioned in my post about being an Ex-expat I am really appreciating floral and fauna having been out of the Country for years. Or maybe I have just developed the interests of a pensioner as a result of spending too much time in Garden centres!
We moved into a house which needs a lot of work, so the Garden is unfortunately well down the ‘to do’ list, so has been fairly neglected. But Intrepid Bebe and I did spend a few afternoons (who am I kidding-ten minutes, before she lost interest and trampled mud through the house) planting bulbs in the garden.
We went outside this morning, mostly because she was on the verge of a big tantrum and generally flinging her into the fresh air works wonders. I was enjoying the Winter sunshine (actually I was picking up dog poo, but who wants to read about that in a blog post?) when I spotted beautiful purple crocus’ have popped up.
So I wanted to share them, in case you’re a homesick Expat who still can’t get their head around Sunny February, or you are just a wildflower geek like me.
I took this one because it shows the Christmas Tree I insisted we plant in the garden because I couldn’t bare to bin it.
Pretty sure these are considered weeds but aren’t they pretty!
We also went for a walk around Virginia Water at Windsor Park, i feel for lucky to live so close to somewhere so beautiful. The star aligned for once and IB napped in the pram so my Mum and I were able to enjoy a lovely walk round the Lake, and i snapped a few more early Spring previews.
